Our Commitment to the Environment

At Positive Existence, we take the environmental effects of our actions very seriously. We primarily use soy and water-based inks and always offer our clients paper certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) as an alternative. We are currently in the process of switching over to SOY-based inks, which are less hazardous to the environment. We also use Nature Woven materials, which are 100% natural, biodegradable, and compostable, providing sustainable and green printing solutions that do less harm to the environment.

Our Technology

We utilize PRESSTEK Chemical FREE direct-to-plate technology, which uses lasers to burn the image to be printed directly onto the plate material. This process keeps toxic chemicals from being released into the environment, increases the quality of the final product, and reduces the turnaround time on jobs. Additionally, all of our rags and uniforms are washed at a state-of-the-art facility that recycles the dirty wash water and detergents, further demonstrating our commitment to sustainability.

Our History and Leadership

Positive Existence was founded in Santa Monica, California in 1989 by third-generation printer, Michael Vaughan. Over several decades, we have grown to be an industry leader, known for our quality, fast-turnaround, competitive pricing, and professional customer service. Michael Vaughan, our owner, brings 30 years of commitment to the design and print media industry to Positive Existence. As a creative strategist, he has worked with a wide array of clients, including promotional campaigns with New Line Cinema for Lord of the Rings, Sony Classic's "Spiderman, " Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Twilight.
