Sustainability

At Knoll, we are committed to sustainability and strive to promote environmentally friendly practices through design innovation. We offer alternative options for plastic components and use recyclable, and renewable materials whenever possible. We received FSC Chain-of-Custody Certification (FSC-C163354) from the Forest Stewardship Council and are committed to utilizing 100% FSC-certified materials in all packaging. We also offer Knoll Ecoform, a new plant material made from bamboo, wood, and sugar cane fibers, which can be used as an alternative to thermoformed plastic platforms or as a 100% pulp packaging solution.

In 2018, Knoll joined the United Nations Global Compact as a pledge to protect our people and planet. We adhere to the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact, including protecting the environment.
