Welcome to The Lawrence Lithography Workshop, a privately owned, fine art publishing press located in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri. Since our establishment in 1979, we have been dedicated to the production of original fine art prints, working closely with over 200 artists from across the United States. Our legacy of collaboration and commitment to quality has made us one of the most respected printmaking studios in the Midwest.

Michael Sims, the founder of The Lawrence Lithography Workshop, received his BS in Art from Western Michigan University and MFA in Printmaking from Ohio University. After teaching lithography at the University of Kansas for several years, Sims left to work as an assistant at Landfall Press in Chicago. Upon his return to Lawrence, Kansas, he set up a workshop at 7 East Seventh Street, where the workshop operated for eighteen years before moving to its current location in Kansas City, Missouri.
