BYO Print

At BYO Print, we are a community of artists passionate about printmaking. Our mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for artists to experiment, learn, and collaborate with others. With a rich history of nurturing creative expression, our nonprofit organization has been dedicated to promoting printmaking as an artistic medium since 2010.

Our History

BYSO Print was co-founded by two women artists, Katie VanVliet and Lauren Fischer, who shared a vision of creating a shared printmaking studio that would foster a sense of community and creativity among artists. Since our inception, we have grown and evolved, with the help of our volunteer Board of Directors, many of whom are active printmakers themselves. Over the years, we have welcomed numerous artists to our studio, providing them with the resources and support they need to hone their craft.

Our Services

As a printmaking studio, we offer a range of services and facilities to cater to the needs of our community. Our studio is equipped with the latest technology and equipment, including screen printing, intaglio, relief printmaking, and lithography, as well as matting and paper preparation tools.

Artist Membership

At BYO Print, we have a variety of membership options to suit different needs and preferences. Our studio artists have unlimited access to the space, 24/7, with scheduling facilitated through a shared calendar. On-site storage is available for up to two flat file drawers and shelf storage space. Our studio artists also have the opportunity to propose workshops to teach and participate in collaborative printing projects, as well as participate in group exhibitions and trade prints.

A La Carte Membership

For artists who only need occasional access to the studio, our A La Carte membership offers a flexible and affordable solution. Appointment-based printing time is monitored by another artist or during drop-in hours (launching upon our move to Old City!). A La Carte printers should possess expertise in the area they wish to work, and instruction or tutoring is available for additional rates, depending on needs.

Workshops and Classes

At BYO Print, we believe that learning is a lifelong process. That's why we offer a range of workshops and classes, from beginner to advanced levels. Whether you're new to printmaking or looking to brush up on rusty skills, we have a course to suit your needs. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the process, from concept to completion.
