File Preparation Tips

When preparing your files for printing, please make sure to follow these guidelines to ensure the best results:

• Raster vs. Vector: Vector graphics are made of mathematical calculations that form shapes, whereas raster images are made of pixels. Ensure that your files are vector-based, and not raster-based, for the best results.
• File Format: We accept files in the following formats: PDF, EPS, AI, CDR, and PS.
• Resolution: Ensure that your images have a resolution of at least 300 dpi, and 600 dpi for images containing text that needs to be legible.
• Fonts: Embed your fonts in your PDF or convert them to outlines.
• Color: Use CMYK or Grayscale color profiles, and avoid RGB images.
• Black: Ensure that files submitted for 1-color black printing are outputting in black ink only.
• Bleed and Safety Zone: Keep all critical elements at least 1/8" from the trim line, and ensure that borders are at least 1/4" from the trim line.
